Personal Organization. It keeps us up at night, writing endless to-do lists and constantly struggling to come up with better ways to achieve this seemingly elusive state of life. Its a full time job in and of itself.
I mean I think its hard managing my own life which consists of me, me and me: single lady just out of college, studio apartment, groceries and a couple monthly bills. Whatever’s left over goes to dining out with friends, even though everyone keeps telling me I should start investing that money now in some kind of retirement plan… I’ll open one soon, promise! But anyway, no cell phone bill (thanks mom and dad for putting me on the family plan). No car payment (thanks mom and dad for the car). No car insurance (thanks mom and dad…until I turn 25). I’m lucky and thankful to have so much support, but the stuff I do have to manage can still seem like a headache at times. I can’t imagine having to plan and manage for a family: school, pets, play dates, activities, family trips, appointments, a mortgage! I think my utilities, Internet and cable bills are annoying enough to keep track of. Really, I don’t know how you grown-ups do it…
Anyway, we created Pageonce to help ease the pain of managing all that stuff (at least all the stuff you can do online) by organizing all your online accounts into easy to read screens on your BlackBerry, your iPhone and your web browser.
Out in the blogosphere, there are tons of ideas on how to get organized. We know that sometimes even the search can be overwhelming as you’re faced with lists and lists of blogs that link to more and more blogs and sites. In an effort to stream line ideas (or maybe we’ll just be adding to the mountain of information already out there??), we would like to ask our productivity-minded readers: Whats your best organizational tip — besides Pageonce of course — that you would like to share with others? It can be online or offline, just as long as its tried and true and helps you rest easy at night.
Hi,
Before you think on how to become more organized I recommend you to think about your goals in life. The best is to split these goals into private and professional goals. Spending good time with friends is definitely a good part of your.
Once you know what you want it is going to be much easier to organize your life.
On my Time Management Master blog I collected about 200 concrete tips on how to save time and to gain an extra hour every day. These tips can be applied at home, at work and on the road.
